The #1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. STOP THE BLEED® is a national effort to encourage people to be trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency. You don't have to be a medical professional to learn how to STOP THE BLEED®! You will learn about bleeding control techniques, tourniquet types and application, wound packing and more! The course includes hands-on skills training where students get to practice what they learned on realistic wound simulators.
The class will be taught by James, an EMT with 13 years of experience with Boston EMS, 6 years National Guard experience, holds an associate degree in Health Careers and is currently pursuing a bachelor in Nursing.
